Shiseido Warehouse Sale Haul May 2014

Hi everyone! Yes, I'm alive.  I have been too pre-occupied with work that I haven't had time to write in my blog.  If my blog had feelings, I'm sure it'd be in oceans of tears.  Anyways, just for those who are interested.  Shiseido Warehouse Sale is on this weekend (Saturday May 24 and Sunday May 25), in case anyone wants to make it for the sale tomorrow.  And if you decide to bring a child into the sale with you, don't, because you will have no choice but to leave them outside the building.  No children 12 years old and under allowed into the building.

In the past few years, this sale was held in early May but this year, they changed it up.  I didn't get to the sale early in the morning this time, I had to work and I just needed to grab a few things.  The few things being products I knew would probably still be at the sale by the time I got there.  Here it is:

It doesn't seem like I bought a lot of products but surprisingly my bill came to $161. 59 CAD after tax.  *Yikes*  Things are getting more expensive!

1.  Orlane First Time Fight Care Eye Contour - $25
Not that I'm showing any signs of aging near my eyes, but I feel prevention is my first precaution step.  Since I hear Orlane is an excellent product line, I might as well it give a try.  Pretty pricey but I'm crossing my fingers it'll be worth it.

2.  Nars Cosmetics Eyebrow Pencil in Panama - $8

3.  Joico Body Butters in Pomegranate and Pink Vanilla - $4 each
I stocked up on these body butters.  Remembering they were first out for $3 each.  They're still a great price for a great product.  The pomegranate one is new to me but the pink vanilla has always gotten me compliments whenever I hit the gym.  I usually butter up after I shower at the gym and it's a great scent that lingers through the day on your body and it's not an overpowering scent.  So how many did I buy? 10!

4.  Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Protective Emulsion W - $34
Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Balancing Softener W - $30
Summer is coming and it's time to do some prep work and maintain that skin sunspot-less.  The Protective Emulsion has SPF 15 but I always apply sunscreen after my moisturizer in the morning before applying makeup.

5.  Evolve Root Whip Protective Volumizing Foam - $2
Evolve Detox Wash Purifying Shampoo - $4

It's my first time purchasing a volumizing foam and I just thought it'd be a great purchase for $2 since I've been applying heat to straighten my hair but I don't want my hair to be flat against my scalp.
Now the purifying shampoo is a repurchase.  I've been using it about once a week just to thoroughly clean out product build up.  Honestly, I like it, hence the act of repurchasing it. ;)

Shiseido & Nars Warehouse Sale - May 2013 Haul

After visiting the Shiseido and NARS warehouse sale more than 3 times, I've come to realize there isn't much I need anymore from this sale.  I've stopped going to this sale on Saturday.  I'd rather come on Sundays when the waiting line is much shorter.

By the time I got to the sale this morning - before 9AM, the warehouse was already letting people in.  I probably waited in line for about 10 - 15 minutes.  I didn't need much so I just pick up some body butters, a NARS multiple, an Orlane anti-fatigue masque, and, Shiseido Benefiance day and night cream for my mom.  I was out of there before 10AM.  It was less than an hour shopping where I spent $163.85 CAD.

Joico Skin Luxe Body Butter in Pink Vanilla - $4 each
I think these are steal deal.  Body butters are The Body Shop are usually at least $10 per jar.  So for $4 per jar, I'd think it's a good deal.  However, if you're looking for super hydrating body butters for dry skin, these are probably not what you're looking for.  I believe these body butters are for normal skin.

NARS Multiple in Beverly Hills - $15
I love this rosy red colour.  Can't wait to try it out.

Orlane Absolute Skin Recovery Masque - $30
They had an anti-fatigue serum that my mom wanted me to get but they didn't have any at this sale so I resorted to the masque.

Shiseido Benefiance Daytime Protective Cream SPF15 and Revitalizing Cream - $38 each
Shiseido's day and night cream for super dry skin.  Bought it for my mom.  I guess this is her mother day's gift.  =)

Shiseido & Nars Warehouse Sale - May 2012 Haul

Today's the last day of the sale and I decided I should go.  I'm pretty proud of myself =).  From my first haul of the sale back in May of 2010 to the present day May 2012, I have severely minimized my spending.
Compared to my past visits to these sales on Saturdays and Sundays, this sale has introduced three new brands that were not there before - Bare Minerals, Buxom and Cle De Peau.  They're also selling more Orlane products, NARS lip products, less makeup bags and Shiseido lip products.  There are Shiseido Sunscreen SPF 33 and 50 for sale, which is the first time I've seen them sold on Saturday and Sunday sales.  I would've bought the SPF 50 but I'm still using the bottle I bought last year.
Prices have gone up again - which for some makeup products - is probably not a good idea since not many people are buying them.

1.  Joico Skin Luxe Whipped Body Butter in Pink Vanilla - $3 CAD
I love body butters and for $3, I definitely had to grab one.  I tested it before purchasing and it's not bad.  No greasy after feeling but I was a little worried about how moisturizing it is, so I just picked up one.
2.  NARS concealer in Vanilla / Honey - $10 CAD (MSRP $38 CAD / $30 USD)
3.  NARS concealer in Custard / Ginger - $10 CAD (MSRP $38 CAD / $30 USD)

Collective Haul - Guess Warehouse Sale, LUSH, F21, Shiseido warehouse sale

This past week, I did quite a bit of shopping.  On Wednesday, I did go to the Guess warehouse sale.  Generally, I get disappointed whenever I go to the International Centre Hall sales in Mississauga.  I do come out with a few purchases but never happy with the overall sale.  I did have a gut feeling that I would get disappointed again this time.  =( Well here it is:
1.  The jacket is by a brand, ONLY.  Not a Guess brand but it has a nice fit cut at the waist - revealing more of an hour figure.  Originally for $65 CAD, this jacket was at the sale for $40 CAD.
2.  The Guess bag retailed for $130 CAD but was for $40 at the sale.
However, I had a 10% discount from their e-mail so I saved $8 CAD in total.
Today was their last day of the sale and I believe their prices dropped, but *meh* I lost interest in looking for clothes.  They had clothes scattered everywhere on tables and it was a lot of the same tops.

This is the 3rd haul I've ever made at Lush.  I've tried their body scrub, emotibomb and a face mask.  This time, I walked into Lush wanting solutions to my sudden breakout on my chin and my problematic hair.  I asked the SA and she recommended me these products:
1.  Rehab shampoo - $24.95 CAD
2.  Cupcake fresh face masks - $6.95 CAD
3.  R & B hair moisturizer - $20.95 CAD

I've already tried the products twice already in the past 5 days and I'm liking the results.  But I'll def have to try these for a good month or so before developing some real thoughts of their products.

On this past Friday, I stopped by Wal-Mart @Scarborough Town Centre to pick up Airwick scented oil plug-in refills.  I knew STC was opening up a F21 store and I happen to be there on their opening day.  So they were having a promo where if you purchase over $40 worth of their items, then you'll receive 10% off.  Clearly, I didn't make it to the mark.  But I picked up what I thought was essential for me.
1.  V-neck cami - $3.80 CAD
2.  Fringe infinity scarf - $7.50 CAD

And now, the haul from Shiseido warehouse sale.  I went there today (Sunday) and surprising there was a lot of stuff and not as many people.  The doors opened at 9AM but I got there around 9:15AM and there was NO line! I was so glad since I didn't want to be pushed around, squeezing between people to see the products.
Every time I shopped at these sales, I try to hold back on buying more eyeshadows but I just can't.  I'm nowhere near done my stash at home but here I am with another haul with more eyeshadows.  =\  Anyways, here it is:
1.  Shiseido Hydro-Powder Eyeshadow in H5 Aqua Shimmer - $8 CAD
2.  2 NARS Multiple in Turks and Caico - $15 CAD each
3.  Shiseido Dual Balancing Foundation in O40 Natural Fair Ochre - $15 CAD
4.  Shiseido Luminizing Satin Eye Color in WT907 Paperwhite - $8 CAD
5.  NARS Night Rider - $8 CAD

I got more shampoo and conditioner since I am nearly done the 6 bottles I bought from the first time I went to this sale.
6.  Evolve Maintain Moisture shampoo and conditioner - $12 CAD each
7.  Evolve Cherish Color shampoo and conditioner - $12 CAD each
8.  2 travel-sized bags - $2 CAD each
9.  Shiseido The Skincare Hydro-Balancing Softener - $25 CAD
10.  3 Orlane Morning Recovery Concentrate - $20 CAD each
11.  Shiseido Benefiance Enriched Balancing Softener N - $30 CAD
12.  Shiseido Benefiance Balancing Softener N - $30 CAD
13.  Shiseido Benefiance Daytime Protective Cream N SPF 15 - $32 CAD

That is about it, hope you enjoyed reading about my haul! =)

Haul: Shiseido / NARS warehouse sale - May 2011

I have yet another haul from the Shiseido / Nars warehouse sale.  I thought I wouldn't be able to make it.  But fortunately, my friend's bridal shower started later during the day.  My mom and I went this time and we got there pretty late =( and ended up waiting 2.5 hours in line.  Anyways, my haul is way smaller this time.
First is the Shiseido stuff.  They had limited stuff from the Pureness line at this sale, which was a little disappointing.  I was looking forward to get the Moisturizing Gel-Cream but they only had the lotion version.  So I had to resort to this instead.  This cost me $22 CAD before tax, compared to $40 CAD MSRP.

Next, I got the Balancing Softener, which cost me $16 CAD compared to $29 CAD MSRP.

I also got another Hydro-Powder Eye Shadow in H8 Bare Pink.  It cost me $8 CAD compared to $28 CAD MSRP which is such a deal!

Finally, I got a white / floral makeup bag for $2.  I'll be leaving for Las Vegas in a few months so I thought this makeup bag was a great size to go traveling with.  The best part of it is the bag is reversible, so I can flip the bag inside-out.

Next I got 3 NARS different gift sets.  Each cost me $25.  I just thought they'd be great gifts.  I think they were selling these for $25 and $35 at the last warehouse sale - so def a great deal to pick up! They normally retail in the $50 USD range.

Coming up: Shiseido warehouse sale

Are you going to Shiseido Warehouse Sale next weekend on May 14th and/or May 15th? I believe the VIP day for the sale is May 13th but I don't have tickets so it'll be May 14th for me - maybe.  My friend from university is having a wedding shower on that day.  So I don't know if I'll be going to the SWS.  Anyways, here's the info in case you're looking forward to go!

When?
May 14th & 15th, 2011
Sat 9AM-5PM
Sun 9AM-3PM
Where?
Shiseido Warehouse Sale
303 Allstate Parkway
Markham, Ontario
Preparation tips?
Food! Go to a drive-in fast food restaurant on your way there and get breakfast!
Trust me, you'll be starving!
Be there early - I'd say at least 1 hour.  The earlier, the less time you'll have to wait to get in once it hits 9AM.
