This past weekend, I happen to flip through the Singtao's Saturday Magazine "Trend" and saw this article featuring the Arumee skincare:
I've briefly translated the article.
Allantoin
Helps heal skin and has anti-inflammatory, anti-irritant and soothing properties.

Phenoxyethanol

Green Tea Extract
Anti-inflammatory and anti-stimulant properties. Can fight free radicals.
PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil
A frequently used ingredient in cosmetics and oral intake products.

Contains anti-oxidants, enhances skin's immunity, can brighten dull skin, minimize dark spots, softens skin, balances skin tone, fights wrinkles, dark spots and free radicals. Helps minimize the appearance of pores.
Tip:
This solution can be used morning and night. Can be sprayed onto skin or padded on with cotton pad or soaked with facial mask and left on for 10-15 minutes. Has micro peeling effects, soften your skin, and allows skin to absorb enough water moisture.
Two products:
1. Pro-Moist Skin Lotion, The Hydrogel Whitening Toner - known as Korean's Miracle Water
Besides balancing skin tone, it can prevent pigmentation and contains whitening properties. It allows better nutrient absorption. It balances the skin's pH to promote soft and healthy skin to prevent moisture loss.
2. Pro-Moist Drink Up Pack, The Facial Mask
This mask allows skin to drink up moisture at a super speed. It has refreshing and moisturizing effects, allowing layers of skin to absorb enough water moisture. Enhances skin's elasticity, promote brightening effects and can be used on lips. Effects are immediate and visible after use.
**Translation may not be exact and it is somewhat paraphase but the general idea is there.
For those who have never been familiar with Arumee, hope this helped you better understand their product line. This article is linked to a website where these two products can be purchased, but they were selling limited quantities and now they're sold out. But here is the website, click here.

Review: Arumee Pro-Moist Cleansing Milk
This bottle of cleansing milk is old. My mom bought it in Jan 2008 when she went to Hong Kong. Ha, took me four years to write up a review for this. This is my first bottle of cleansing milk. Before this, I've never tried this type of facial cleansing product. My first impression of cleansing milk is "does it do the job well?". Honestly, this product does a surprisingly good job. I mean it's not the best but compared to the Origins Cleansing Milk sample size version I've used, this bottle of cleansing milk works a lot better.
The scent: Has a refreshing floral scent.
Consistency: Thick and creamy.
Application: I usually take 2 to 3 pumps of this product and rub it all over my whole-day's worth of makeup. Then tissue it off. This only wipes out off majority of my makeup. Next, I take whatever facial cleansing product I have to cleanse my face.
Packaging: This product is stored in a glass bottle. It has a pump and a cap. I don't recall it came in a box.
What it claims: "As a creamy type, this cleansing lotion is supposed to softly and lightly eliminate makeup you made on the face. Thanks to cleansing factors, which are soft to skin and have exceptional cleansing effects. Since it contains aha, it is easily able to get rid of aged keratin as well as plagues on skin. The willow bark extract also dramatically reduces keratin having anti-inflammation. As a result, it is expected to make your skin clean and good-looking."
Thoughts / Results:
First the scent, I kinda like the scent. Reminds me of the products my mom used to use when I was a little girl.
Depending on how dry my skin is, 2 or 3 pumps of this product can take off all my makeup. Like with all other products, this cleansing milk isn't designed to clean off eye makeup. And the result of not following instructions of this product is blurry vision. But of course, rinsing your eyes will help. I don't recommend removing eye makeup with this product. But if you insist, be careful.
I do like using this product. It removes most of my makeup, but leaving a tiny bit behind. That's good enough for me because then I'll be using another facial cleansing product anyway. Again, compared to the Origins cleansing milk, this removes makeup really well. It also leaves my skin feeling soft. I don't like the feeling of using this product as my last facial cleansing step. I get paranoid that the creamy texture will absorb into my skin along with the bits of my makeup residue. Although I have used this product as my last facial cleansing step, I almost always follow up with another non-cream facial cleansing product.
As for my thoughts on what this products claims to do, I don't notice some of the results it claims to give. For example, it claims to contain willow bark extract which is suppose to help keep pores unclogged. But this can't be too true as I had multiple breakouts on and off during the time I was using this product. So it didn't do a good job of keeping my pores clear of debris.
Also, I'm not too fond of the glass bottle packaging. The packaging makes it so much heavier. I like the pump and the cap so I don't have to stick my fingers to grab the product and dust doesn't build up on the packaging.
Cost: Not sure, too long ago.

Review: Arumee Pro-Moist Skin Lotion
Thoughts:
I have a few other products by this brand, and whether I combine or use them individually, I find they work really well. It doesn't irritate my skin or cause random breakouts. But the thing I don't like about this brand is its packaging. I have their moisturizer lotion and both their bottles are made of glass. Therefore it's heavy packaging. Not that I've purposely throw around my bottles to see if they'll break, but the glasses are pretty durable.
Application:
After using my usual toner, I apply this lotion on with a cotton pad
Consistency:
Very liquidy. It looks clear and feels slightly thicker than water.
Scent:
Refreshing floral, non-irritating scent.
What it claims:
"ARUMEE Pro-Moist Line enables us to cherish clear and bright skin."
Results:
I pretty much agree with what they claim their product does. On my days where my hormones aren't out of whack, I find this product does clear and brighten my skin. Not whiten my skin, just brighten. I've been using this product after applying Shiseido Pureness Balancing Softener and this product still achieves that "clear and bright skin" effect. I can tell it doesn't whiten because I have a few sunspots around my eyes and they haven't disappeared or lighten, so evidently this line doesn't diminish sunspots. =( I wish it did. I find this product not irritating to the skin like the other toners or softeners out there. It does have alcohol content in there but it doesn't sting when applied on pimple wounds - yes I do sometimes irresistibly pick / pop my pimples.
Another good thing about this product is it's moisturizing properties. Unlike other toners or softeners out there, because it's summer and my skin tends to get oily, I've tried stopping my moisturizing routine. So basically, I apply the Shiseido softener and this Arumee lotion and that's it. Without a moisturizer, I find my skin doesn't get dehydrated. My skin still feels soft. To me, this product works quite well. It will sadly be missed after I finished this bottle.
Product: Arumee Pro-Moist Skin Lotion
Rating: 5 / 5
Pros:
- Moisturizing even with applying moisturizer
- Does keep skin clear
- Does brighten skin
Cons:
- Is not a paraben-free product
