Lisa's Cosmetics Warehouse Sale - May 2012 Haul

Yes, I went to another Lisa's Cosmetics Warehouse sale.  Did I get much? No.  I couldn't make it to the first 2 days of the sale but it didn't matter much as I didn't get much on my two trips - Monday and Tuesday.  I went with a friend on Monday, it was her first time there.  I thought she would be more happy about the makeup part of the sale but she was totally awestruck by the amount of brand name perfumes that were sold there.  Here are the beauty products I bought:

Left to right:
$25 - Burberry Brit Sheer 30mL / 1 fl oz
$6.99 - Nivea Creme 400mL
$6 - Marcelle Purity Soothing Cleansing Water 200mL / 6 fl oz
$1.49 - Tivoli Cosmetics Criss-Cross False Lashes
$1.49 - Tivoli Cosmetics Natural False Lashes

Update: I've failed to mention Lisa's Cosmetics has started to sell ~H20+ skincare.

Haul: Lisa's Cosmetics November 2011

Yesterday, my mom and I went to Lisa's Cosmetics sale at around 1PM and lined up for 40 minutes, which is surprising because I thought most people would have gone on the weekend.  Anyways,  I went in and there were a lot more shampoos and conditioners of different brands at the sale.  But even so, I didn't get any since I bought enough at the Shiseido sale.

This time around, for myself, I bought two patterned Pashmina scarves, Sally Hansen Brow Stencils and a LaCross powder brush.  The scarves were $9.99 each, brow stencils were $0.99, and the powder brush was $2.99.  Clearly I loved my brow stencils that I had to get another pack.  =\  Well, for 99¢ I don't mind having a back up.  As for the powder brush, I was a little iffy when I decide to buy it.  The bristles are soft but in terms of shedding quality, I wasn't too sure.  Despite my worries, I still got it and when I washed it with soap, oh geez, it shed so much.  Finally the scarves, I saw a woman holding a sample of this scarf and the colours caught my eye.  Though I like the colours, I don't like the "C" monogram print.  It gives the impression that it's a Coach scarf, which clearly isn't.  Nevertheless, I'd still wear it for the colours.  As for the leopard print one, it caught my eye first.  I saw a similar print scarf @Aritzia that cost $65 which stopped me from buying.  I'm assuming leopard prints are trendy for fall and winter.

Haul: Lisa's Cosmetics warehouse sale

Today, I've finally got time to stop by Lisa's Cosmetics and do a little bit of shopping.  I didn't get as much this time around.  There's really nothing I'm dying to get my hands on.  I usually pick up a few tubes of Smashbox Photofinish Light Primer but I've recently stopped using it.  I've still got one last tube to finish off but I've been holding it off and using my Fusion Beauty one.  My goal was to keep my subtotal below $100 CAD, at $98.94 CAD before tax.

Where?
1380 Rodick Rd
Days left of the sale?
May 7-9, 13-16
Saturday: 9AM - 6PM
Sunday: 10AM - 6PM
Monday, Tuesday, Friday: 10AM - 8PM
I didn't spend any money on perfume this time around.  I was tempted to get Vera Wang's Princess perfume set but I smelt it again today and I'm not loving it.

For myself, I picked up these three things.  I mainly wanted the two eyebrow razors in the La Cross Perfect Eye Kit.  They had it sold separately but it made more sense - financially - to pick up this kit because the two razors cost $1.99 while $3.99 for the kit with 5 different things in it.  I believe this kit retailed for $8 CAD in drug stores.  Plus, I can use the eyelash curler pads as replacement pads for my Shu Uemura lash curler.  ;)
Next is the Smashbox Lip Enhancing Gloss - True Color in Hype.  This cost me $5.99 CAD, compared to $22 CAD MSRP.  I don't recall seeing this colour there before but it's my alternative Smashbox lip gloss to my Pixel one.
The final makeup product I bought was the Smashbox blush in Aperature.  I chose it because I like the peachy mauve colour.  This cost me $7.99 CAD, compared to $25 CAD MSRP.

Now these are skincare products I bought for my mom.  It's an Elizabeth Arden skincare set with no specific name to the set.  It's contents: 60 capsules of Ceramide Gold Ultra Restorative Capsules Intensive Treatment for Face and Throat, 7.5 mL of Ceramide Plump Perfect Ultra Lift and Firm Moisture Cream SPF 30, 7 mL of Ceramide Plump Perfect Ultra All Night Repair and Moisture Cream for Face and Throat, and 7 mL of Ceramide Plump Perfect Ultra Lift and Firm Eye Cream.  This cost me $46 CAD compared to $88 CAD MRSP.
Next is the Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Purifying Toner that cost me $17 CAD compared to $33 CAD MRSP.  Sadly, they jacked up the price for this.  The last time I got this for my mom, it was $15 CAD like I listed from my previous haul from Lisa's Cosmetics Warehouse sale.  =(

Finally, the yummy goodies. =D  My favourite out of all Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolates is the Fruit & Nut.  ;)  Too bad, I'm on a little-to-no-chocolate diet right now so these chocolates will def be devoured by my family.  =\
The Nestle Swiss Milk Chocolate cost me $5.99 CAD, whereas the Cadbury ones cost me $4.99 CAD each.  IMO, not a bad price for its quality and superpack size.  ;)

Haul: Lisa's Cosmetics

Where?
1380 Rodick Rd
When?
November 20-23, 26-29 and Dec 3-6
Saturday: 9AM - 6PM
Sunday: 10AM - 6PM
Monday, Tuesday, Friday: 10AM - 8PM

This past Saturday, I went to Lisa's Cosmetics first day sale.  I didn't get there until 12ish. And it was the longest Lisa's Cosmetics first day sale I've been to.  And I swear I'm never going to sale during the winter or on a cold day again! This sale is becoming more and more popular and I started lining up pretty late into the day and had to wait 2.5 hours in line.  I didn't dress properly for that day.  =( Worst thing is I didn't get the perfume in full size that I really wanted.  I may have to make another trip there later this month.

Here's my haul:
Yummmm. Swiss made Chocolate and Lindt Peppermint Dark Chocolate
Yes, I am a chocolate-holic.  I prefer dark chocolate over milk chocolate.  I was super happy when the sale was selling my favourite kinds of chocolate.  You might be thinking: "umm, it's just Cadbury Dairy Milk, you can get that at any grocery or convenient store".  The sale sells Cadbury Dairy Milk made in the UK, which I prefer because I think it tastes better than the ones made here.

I bought 3 travel-sized tubes of Smashbox PhotoFinish Foundation Primers - 2 for myself and 1 for my best friend.  This is the oil-free version.  I think this primer is great, it works very well for me.  It retails for $25 CAD per tube @Sephora, but they were selling it for $6.99 CAD.  So yes, this was a great deal! =)

Then I was so happy to see the Lancome Bifacil travel-sized (1.7 fl oz or 50 mL).  I personally think this is a great eye makeup remover, but I just use it up so fast! My first and only full-sized bottle I got from The Bay for $34 CAD which I thought was really pricey.  So when I saw travel size version at the sale, I stocked up.  =)  Each bottle cost me $1.99 CAD.  So if I calculate how much small bottles is equivalent to a large one, 2.5 small bottles = 1 full size bottle = $4.92 CAD as opposed to $34 CAD for the same amount of product.  Score! =)

Next up, I got a bottle of Elizabeth Arden Ceramid Purifying Toner for my mom.  It cost me $15 CAD but retails for $27 USD, so I suppose if it was in CAD, it'd cost more.

Then I got myself 2 roller perfumes of Juicy Couture Viva la Juicy.  Unfortunately, the sales told me they were sold out of the full-sized bottles.  I had to compensate with the roller ones.  They cost me $7.99 CAD each but retail for $22 CAD $20 CAD.  They also had Couture Couture and Juicy Couture perfumes, but Couture Couture sold out right before my eyes and Juicy Couture was just not my scent.  So I'll have to go back to the sale to check up on Viva la Juicy eau de parfum.

I bought a package of 3 La Cross brow shaper stencils.  I'm thinking about changing my eyebrow shape, so I thought I'd give this a try.  I bought this for $0.99 CAD, and I have no idea how much it retails for.

Then I bought 2 Borghese nail polishes, each for $1.49 CAD.  I think they normally retail for $8.99 CAD at Shoppers Drug Mart.  They were selling Sally Hansen nail polishes for $0.99 each, but none of the colours really attracted me.  =(

Totalling everything up, I spent $137.28 CAD.  I bought some things for my brother and mom.  And I think they overcharged me 2 dollars on some things.

Anyways, if you haven't gone to check out their sweet deals that will save you tons from retail store, you better go! I'd advise you to go during weekdays as there was less people, meaning no long line ups!

Lisa's Cosmetics Sale Coming Up

Lisa's Cosmetics sale is finally coming up.  It's starting on Nov 20 and guess where I'll be that day?!? =D
I'm going to have to stock up on some Smashbox Photofinish Oil-Free primer.  And I'm considering on getting perfume.  I'm deciding between two of the Juicy Couture fragrances - either Viva La Juicy or Couture Couture.  Hopefully, I won't be overspending this time =S .
