Last month, my best friend got another dog.  They named him Brownie.  He's 1/4 Golden Retriever and 3/4 Miniature Poodle.  He is just so cute.  He followed me around, didn't run off but I'm not sure if that still holds true now.  Like Elmo, he's probably pretty spoiled by now.

Last week, my friend asked me to babysit her dog, Elmo, for two days.  And those two days just made me wish I had a dog. =(  I was afraid he was going to pee or poo in my house - since my house is carpet - so I put him in the washroom to sleep at night with his crate blocking the doorway but he just cried and whined.  Finally he pushed his way out to find me in my bedroom.  I ended up putting him by my bed.

Here's a picture I took of him sleeping in my arms.  Looks like he loved it.  lol

Just about half an hour ago, I was watching CNN news on TV and they were doing a program on the Japan earthquake and nuclear plant meltdown.  It is absolutely sad and heartbreaking to know there are nearly 200 people fighting like warriors to protect their country's people and family members by volunteering to go in and help cool down the nuclear plant.  They're going in, knowing they'd sacrifice their own lives, to save others.  Honestly, I don't think many of us can do this selfless act.  Then I look at the number of death tolls that just increases every hour.  Nearly 8000 found dead, an estimated 12000 missing.  Most likely, the 12000 missing people are dead.  These numbers are just unbearable to hear.

In these desperate times, let us pray for things to not get worse.

It is also in these times, when I really wonder if it is necessary for political problems in Libya to take place.  I'm not someone who knows all the facts and update myself with these World News.  But IMO, more important matters like natural disasters that are uncontrollable and destructive, are what we should put our attention to and stop wasting efforts on things like starting some sort of war.  Shouldn't we come together and work towards one goal? That goal be preserving life? I mean what's the purpose of fighting each other when you're going to die in the end? You're not fighting for a purpose that way, you're just fighting to fight - and there is no meaning to that.

Wow, I've just realized how long I haven't updated my personal blog.  Well here's a little update about my recent being.  A few weeks ago, my friend asked me to babysit her puppy for a few days and so I did and I had quite a bit of fun doing it.  I mentioned about him back in August and he's a big boy now, but still a puppy.
He is such a cute fur ball.  This was the time my mom and brother went to Hong Kong and it was just my dad and I @home.  My dad loved Elmo's company.  So I believe we are looking into getting a dog.  I want either a Maltese or mini Schnauzer, but the problem with Maltese is that it cries a lot and requires a lot of attention and for Schnauzer, it's hard to find a perfect coloured salt and pepper schnauzer.  So yeah, these have been my recent problems.  =|

I was checking my e-mail the other day and I saw this picture of what Hurricane Igor did to the East Coast.  I was absolutely stunned by how strong Hurricane Igor was.

Yesterday, I went over to my friend's place to see her new puppy, Elmo.  And he is so cute.  All that fur on him and makes him adorable.  He hasn't been properly potty trained, so he's been peeing on the carpet and whatnot.  So we took him out to play in the front yard - since he hasn't gotten all his vaccination yet - he pooped and ate a little piece of his own poop.  Eww eh?  Ya, I know.

I am drained.  =| I came back from the Taste of Danforth festival in Toronto.  And since I was kind of in the area, my friends and I dropped by the Super T&T Night Market, which is by the Harbor Front.  This year's Taste of Danforth kind of sucked =(.  There weren't as many Greek food booths as there were in the past years.  Well the last time I went was back in 2008 - I think - but this year, I don't understand why there are people selling Japanese / Chinese / Thai food at Taste of Danforth.  Anyways, it was kind of disappointing.  Then I went to the Night Market, and that was alright.  The food there wasn't as expensive as the 'Night it up' Night Market at Metro and the food quality was better at the T&T one. =)

Having self-control when it comes to spending money is just difficult! For the past few months, I've been spending and swiping my credit card as if everything I buy is cheap.  So lately, I'm looking for a new digital camera because I broke mine last Halloween - when I was pretty wasted.  I honestly can't even remember how many times I dropped my camera that night.  Anyways, I've been researching and updating myself on what's new in the digital world.  And the one I want right now and is being sold in Canada is the Sony DSCTX7 ( Here's the link ). This gorgeous baby isn't being sold in Futureshop or Bestbuy yet.  Well they sell it in Sony stores, but Sony stores sell them the same item for a bit more.  Well then I guess it's a good thing, this gives me more time to save up =) .

Awesome weekend! My friends and I went to the cottage this past weekend and it was amazing! I honestly think we're crazy.  Four of us sailed on a 2-person canoe from our cottage to another island, and on Saturday, there was light showers.  Our neighbors didn't see us come back after 2 hours, so they went out on their motor boat to find us.  I felt so bad.  They were really worried that we've flipped the canoe and might have gone missing.  =|

My friends and I are going off to the cottage either tonight or tomorrow morning!! =) So hopefully - praying to God - that it'll won't be raining too much tomorrow or Sunday.  I know they'll be light showers, but I'm still praying it'll just be misty.  I'll be back on Sunday night so until then, cya! ;)

Last Thursday, I went to Yang Yang's Kitchen on Hwy 7 and Kennedy in Markham.  The food there wasn't the best.  My friend (who I helped out at the Night Market) and her family, treated myself and all other 'volunteers' to dinner that night.  Basically, they serve sushi.  But if you ask me, I didn't think it was that great.  If you ever want to get some good all-you-can-eat sushi, you should def try Syogun on Woodbine Ave - well that's if you live in the area.  Anyways, back to the point, we went for sushi and she told me we made a profit.  So since we did get revenue, they treated us to dinner and paid us for our hard work.  There was a total of 7 or 8 volunteers that helped her out and we all got paid.  So I guess we did do pretty good. =) But if you ask me whether I'd work at the Night Market again next year, I'll probably think twice. =S

So last Friday and Saturday, I was helping my friend out selling seafood at the Night Market and I was completely drained of energy when I got home.  I was standing for pretty much the whole day.  I have no idea if we made any profit after subtracting the cost.  We had busy times and times with no business - i.e. during the day when no one wanted to buy hot grilled scallops and oysters, or hot steamed mussels and clams.  Anyways, the food was delicious though =) . It was crazy, there was a booth that was selling freshly squeezed pineapples that you could drink out of a pineapple for $8.  I mean you can buy a really riped pineapple at the supermarket for $3.  Anyways, it was a hot day, cooler at night and thankfully it didn't rain on Friday night. =)

Holy! I'm super exhausted.  I came back from the Night Market an hours ago, made some food, and now I'm getting ready for bed.  I'm helping my friend out at the Night Market and I've been standing for pretty much the whole night from 7ish to 2AM.  I'm so dead tired right now.  I need to sleeeep~! Anyways, it was an awesome night.  I'll be helping out tmrw again =|

Happy Canada Day! Guess what I'm doing on my day off? Cleaning my room. =| So I've been cleaning my messy room since 10AM this morning after making and eating my bacon 'n' eggs breakfast.  Man, I'm not even one-quarter finish cleaning my room.  There's just so much unnecessary things lying around in my room that's accumulated for a good 6 months.  I don't mind cleaning my room, but it requires so much effort! So I decided to leave the rest for another day LOL! Anyways, I'm drained. I had other chores to do so it wasn't just cleaning my room. I'm too tired to type! *Sigh*

Ok, maybe it's because I haven't made a purchase from eBay for the longest time or maybe there's just something wrong with me. But I've been sitting at my MBP trying to decide whether I should purchase a cassette adapter for the last 4 hours. Well I've been doing other things as well. But man! Like WTH was wrong with me. Maybe it's because eBay is such a sketchy place to buy things. I mean, I'm buying the adapter for $0.99! I just could not make the decision! UGH! I hate it when I'm so indecisive.  I try to spend every penny on things that I think are worth it.  So I was thinking, why was I taking forever to decide on something that would cost me so little.  I kinda need it.  I hate burning CDs to listen in my car and so I thought.  Hmm.  If I buy a cassette adapter, I could use it to plug in my iPod to the car stereo and listen to my fave songs (and yes, I have an old car that still runs and still has a cassette player =P). So long story short, I bought one and seriously hope it works because I seriously don't trust some eBay sellers that sell their items so cheap.  =\

I went to Taste of Asia today and you will never believe what I witnessed! Ok, my friend's boyfriend dropped us off on Steeles and we walked up Kennedy and the first thing I see is a little 5-year-old boy pull down his pants and urinate on the grass.  I just could not believe it. I'm a clean freak so it's kind of an OCD thing for me to witness urination like that and walk on the grass at the same time.  And add on top of that, I was wearing my sandal birks. Ewwww~! Like what is this? Why would humans invent a toilet if it didn't serve its purpose? Geez, the more I think of it, as in picture it, the more disgusted it is!

Anyways, my friend and I were talking about the Night Market - which is happening on July 9th and 10th.  Her and her boyfriend are selling seafood, so I'll be helping out that night.  I don't know, but I don't really like places where they are a lot of people.  I've never been to the Night Market, so I'll see how crowded it'll get. =\ Oh and I hate the smell of 'stinky tofu' and apparently, our booth will be surrounded by 'stinky tofu' booths! UGGGH!  *sigh* Whatevv, I'll live... I think... =|

omg. anyone living in the toronto gta region must have felt this today. there was a 20-30 sec earthquake at around 1:40ish. it was crazy. i was sitting in my office desk, then i suddenly felt the WHOLE building move.  it scared the crap out of me. earthquakes NEVER happen in toronto. well maybe not 'never' but it only happened once when i was a kid and it was such a light, small earthquake back then that i couldn't even feel it.  it really scared the living jizz out of me!!  =\
it was nothing too serious - i.e. no harm. but i can imagine if someday canada experiences a pretty big damage from these natural disasters.  it's a scary thought. which makes me think back to the movie '2012'.  anyone ever thought about that???
